Recital at Bromley Parish Church
I finished off my first concert tour abroad performing at Bromley Parish Church, on 21 November 2006. Quoting my previous blog:
Everything I had been struggling with in Norwich and Cambridge fell nicely into place this time. The organ was a pure joy to play. Magnificent! Perhaps my best performance was that of Widor’s Final from the sixth symphony. It was the piece I had practised the least, but I surfed a wave of a glorious tutti with a thundering 32 reed in the pedals. [A] wonderful conclusion of my tour. My deepest thanks to all who made it possible.
- Johann Sebastian Bach: Toccata in F major (BWV 540/1)
- Louis Lefébure-Wely: Bolero de Concert
- Louis Vierne: Scherzo (from 2nd Symphony)
- Maurice Duruflé: Sicilienne (from Suite)
- Mons Leidvin Takle: Grøne bøar (“Green Fields”)
- Mons Leidvin Takle: Norsk bryllupsmarsj (“Norwegian Wedding March”)
- Jon Kristian Fjellestad: Toccata for Organ
Organ by Walker (1991). 40 stops, three manuals and pedal.
